I was going to upgrade to AM5 this year but decided against it, considering RAM price and AM5 prices in general (2x-3x of what am4 costs for CPU, Mobo and ram).

I upgraded my Cpu from a ryzen 5600 to this 5900xt.... what a great decision that was!
paired with my Saphire 9070xt, i now have 0 bottlenecks and am push my pc to the limits!
I am no longer CPU bound in games like BF6 either, the experience is amazing.

This is an absolute BEAST of a CPU. Forget the 105W TDP, it rarely sits under that. Make sure you have a decent motherboard (my B450M couldn't handle it lol, the VRMs started making bad sounds) and a power supply that can feed this thing. Otherwise, even though it's last gen, it's incredibly good value for money. Turn on PBO and it easily sips 180W. Totally overkill, but great fun. Very happy with my purchase.
