Totally blowing my mind
This processor really exceeded my expectations for working activities, video editing and general multi-tread workloads. No issues during installation and start up, averaging around 5,4GHz and peaked at 5,7GHz without any over-clocking.

Great CPU
I bought this CPU because I'm an avid gamer, but am also a Graphic Designer. So far the CPU hasn't used more than 50% of its power when gaming and all my benchmarks showed it to perform as expected in stock form.

Great CPU for gaming and productivity
What can I say? Coming from an 8th-gen i5 gaming laptop this is a night and day difference! After Effects and Premiere Pro playback and timeline scrubbing went from okay-ish to blisteringly fast. Games went up 30-40 frames minimum Be aware that it is a hot chip though. You'll most likely need at least a 240mm AIO of equivalent air cooler with a well-ventilated case. I seem to be lucky as the silicone on my chip only reaches 85C in benchmarking, not the advertised 95C. I played around a bit with the PBO offset and power limits, following a YouTube tutorial by Optimum Tech. Now the CPU hardly ever reaches 65C under load and idles at around 35-40C. The power draw also went down from 160W to around 102W (this could be set much lower if needed with minimal performance hit). I know AM5 is still rather expensive, but I wanted something that lasts me at least 5 years with a confirmed upgrade path. This is exactly that and I'm sure 5+ years down the line when I eventually upgrade it will still perform awesomely in my girlfriend's rig. Paired it with a Gigabyte B650 Elite AX for a combo that just works.

Better than expected
Very nice upgrade from ryzen 5 3600 My fps in wow went from 25 to 190 just by changing the cpu(both cases used 2080 super on ultrwide max setting) temps never reached the 95 degrees as advertised runs at about 85max while gaming

Excellent Gaming & Creator Performance
I tend to be a bit more biased when it comes to AMD, but it definitely is great seeing this generation of AMD CPU's finally hitting that 5GHz clock speeds right out of the box ! The Ryzen 9 7900x as all the 12-Core counter parts before it, is a great mix of gaming and productivity. The new 7000-series has seen a great advancement in both single and multicore performance. It's scary to see just how close it gets to Threadripper level of multicore processing power, with just half the amount of cores. These chips like running hot and quickly reaches TJMax of 95C on my Corsair 360mm liquid cooler. Although this behaviour is normal and no thermal throttling took place, I've combated this by slightly lowering the PPT and Thermal limits within the BIOS and applied a custom PBO curve to offset the voltages applied. Currently, I'm running at 85C after prolonged testing sessions, which definitely gives me peace of mind and I was able to retain the same level of performance. With AMD giving the thumbs up on continuous support on the AM5 platform, it definitely is exciting to see what could be next for the newly adopted LGA 1718 socket.
