Montech Keyboard - Rudolf, 5 December 2024
This keyboard is nice. The only thing I had to change was the switches. The brown switches are just terrible. The Yellow switches are perfect, but got black and red Gateron G Pro 3. For gaming and work the black, red and yellow linear switches are perfect. the volume knob is also a nice touch.

Keyboard Review - Lennit, 28 August 2024
The keyboard is very nice to use, and the brown switches are not very loud yet still able to give the satisfaction of a mechanical keyboard. It is very weighty, so wherever you place it, it will stay in place unless purposefully moved by the user. It is very nice to the touch and easy to swap out the keys if necessary. It is more of a 4.5-4.8 out of 5, as the only thing that it is missing is the wireless feature, but it is not a deal breaker. Effortless to set up and use.

Best keyboard ever! - Chris, 28 August 2024
I have the TKL at home for gaming. Loved it so much and got so used to the premium feel that I had to upgrade my keyboard at work as well.
Trust me, you won't go wrong. -
Great keyboard for professionals or casual gamers - Zander, 14 August 2024
Overall, the Montech Darkness Mkey Brown RGB Wired Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is a top-tier option for anyone in the market for a mechanical keyboard. Its solid build(this thing is dense!), excellent typing experience(like butter with a thick thoc), and extensive customizability make it a worthwhile investment for both work and play. Whether you’re a professional looking for a reliable keyboard or a gamer in need of a responsive setup, the Montech Darkness Mkey Brown RGB Wired Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is a keyboard that won’t disappoint.

Excelent Keyboard - Monique, 18 June 2024
Very happy with this keyboard, has good weight, very bright RGB functions and brown switches are so comfortable to type with. Delivery was also very prompt from wootware.

Best keyboard I've ever owned - Benjamin, 29 March 2024
I love this keyboard so much. I've had 4 Cherry MX Brown keyboards before, and I prefer this over all of them. What makes it awesome?
1. Quieter than other Cherry MX Brown keyboard. No sure if that's because of the Gateron Brown switches, or some other dampening that Montech adds, but the other people in my office/home appreciate it. I also prefer the slightly softer feel.
2. Quality is excellent. I had a Corsair recently (that I returned) which had a chintsy looseness on the space bar. This keyboard has none of that. All the key guides for the bigger keys (enter, space, etc) are well made, so nothing rattles.
3. Although I don't care much for lighting, the built-in modes are amusing, and I leave them switched on.
4. Edges are smooth, as opposed to my recent Das Keyboard, which has a sharp metal edge that I ended up filing down.
5. Cable design is nice, allowing the cable to exit either left, top, or right of the keyboard, which really makes a different if you have screens/mouse pads close to your keyboard.
The only downside I can find is that the ink on the lettering is a bit strange. But this is not a production quality issue, just a graphic design thing. Either way, it doesn't bother me.
I've got many computers/workstations, and after buying one of these keyboards, I immediately bought another 2 for my other locations. Would I buy it again? Of course yes, but I'd love to see the Lightness Full, and would probably get that in future for some variety. -
A really good keyboard for the money - I'm just nitpicking. - Vincent, 14 March 2024
The keys feel and sound very nice - quite a bit quieter than my previous keys, especially if I type a bit slower. (Logitech GX Blue are very loud). Some of the keys feel more cushioned than others at first, which is irritating, but I'm getting used to it. The main issues with this keyboard are: the lack of dedicated media keys; the fact that lighting only affects the rims of keys rather than the letters/numbers/symbols themselves; lacklustre software and a plastic frame as opposed to metal. That being said, spending more than double to get something like a Corsair simply wouldn't make sense. This keyboard is a great entry into mechanical boards and even good enough for people who are used to spending quite a bit more. I'm going to enjoy it.

Happy Fingers - Chris G, 8 March 2024
Typing on it now, and my god, the last time my fingers were this happy was **** **** **** ****. This thing is amazing. Highly recommended.

This is a great keyboard - Keenan, 3 February 2024
The brown switches are pretty quiet with a slightly noticeable clicky noise. The space, back space and shift keys feel like they have extra cushioning which is nice. RGB is somewhat limited but in terms of colours, but the rotary knob has cool features such as volume control, zoom in and out as well as controls for the RGB. Overall would highly recommend.

Overwhelmingly positive - Hannes, 9 November 2023
Pro's:
The keys switches are silent enough to take notes during online meetings. In the past I would disconnect my external keyboard and type away on my laptop instead. I love the sound and feel of the key presses. At first they appeared a bit mushy similar to membrane keyboards but the more I type on it the more I love and appreciate the tactile feedback without being hard to press. I can type on this keyboard all day and its just a pleasure.
The RGB is great and comes with a lot of presets. I like that one can adjust the speed of the effects. You can create your own custom RGB via the software if you into that.
Great dial to adjust volume/RGB/zoom. I don't use the zoom function and would love to change it to something else but that does not seem to be changeable in software.
Build quality is solid and I love the looks.
Con's:
I absolutely miss a wrist rest. This keyboard is too high for my liking resulting in wrist strain without a wrist rest.
I'm missing the ability to adjust the brightness of the illumination ring around the dial which is very bright. It seems you can only switch it on or off.
Other:
The lack of dedicated media keys worried me before getting the keyboard. The FN+F5-F8 are media keys by default but having to press FN key every time seemed like a hassle to me. The software allows you to assign any function to any key and I have reassigned play/pause to the scroll lock key and next track to the pause key. And amazingly the original function of the key is still available by pressing FN+Scroll or FN+Pause.
I was worried that the key caps not being shine through and that it would be hard to see the keys at night. But turns out that that isn't a problem.
In reviews, people tend to complain about the software. I see nothing wrong with it. It does what it promises. Not sure why you need something more fancy? -
Ooh baby this feels and looks good! - Michiell, 9 November 2023
I feel this keyboard was well worth the wait. Very first thing one will notice of the bat is the density of this keyboard. It's like holding a clay brick it feels super solid, no doubt because of how much stuff they've crammed underneath the keys, very nice. This keyboard has a lot of dampening silicon pads so it's not overly obnoxiously clicky and feels refined and thought out. It types great, keys are very smooth and feel far more comfortable than the old keyboard, the response times felt great, definitely noticed a difference while playing some Titanfall 2. Have not tried out the software but it's good to know there's even individual argb key adjustment, I was not aware it could do that and hey it's a feature albeit not important to most people. The type c cable is braided, you get routing channels and they do work well enough. I love the accent key caps very nicely made and they look great on this keyboard. Definitely feel like I got my money's worth and this could be my forever keyboard. Thank you @Wootware Team!

If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would - Robert, 6 November 2023
Quite honestly the best keyboard my digits have ever touched.
If you're new to mechanical keyboards, you can't go wrong with this.
You don't need to install any software to manage the RGB or macros, it's all on device.
