Upgraded from a ryzen 5 3600 to the 7 7800 X3D. The performance is absolutely insane!!!

A superb CPU for gaming. You know the benchmarks, so I'll mention that with a 360mm AIO in a Lancool 217, temps don't exceed 65c when running CPU profile benchmark in 3DMark, and even lower for gaming.

I got my newly assembled gaming rig two weeks ago and I'm super happy with it. Looking at the CPU / GPU monitoring, this CPU can easily handle my 5070 Ti. Temps average around 62c on AAA gaming (Hogwarts Legacy). I have not used my PC for other things other than gaming and watching content, so may not have pushed it to its full capacity, but it seems like a very sold choice and the best option in this price range.

This is a great CPU been the best untill now. I like how this and the 9800X3D makes theintel boys so mad.

I am still waiting for the Montech XR ARGB Tempered Glass Black ATX Mid Tower Desktop Chassis to be available to buy to finalise my build. I cannot wait to start gaming on the new system.

We got this to pair with the 7900 XT GPU for my son's new PC build and it is amazing.

He is very pleased with huge FPS in all his games, even Ark Survival which brings most PCs to their knees!

Its the one for graphic duty in the shop. They just do it and its at a great price. Also very simple to cool. A basic air cooler keeps it ice cold for hours on end.

Get some. Very hard to beat.

Coming from a Ryzen 3000 series I was very impressed with the increase in speed. Even in games such as Apex Legends (which I was already able to max out on frames), the power of this CPU was noticeable in terms of those few microseconds of input lag or whatever it might be. Say nothing of other more demanding games, which this CPU eats for breakfast. It's a monster. I did find it ran slightly hotter than expected. Turning my PC's power plan to "balanced" reduced temperatures by a full 15 degrees without sacrificing any FPS.

Best bang for top spec gaming cpu. Had zero issues installing and setting up. Im cooling it temporarily on a id cooling frozn a410 and temps are during gaming 65-75deg at moderate fan settings.

What can I say that has not been said already? It is fast! Temps have not even reached 40 degrees Celsius I have tried everything. I guess I need more games. It is stable! It is just without ANY problems! Thanks Wootware! Thanks Dr. LIsa Su!

This is the workhorse of any gamers Build, still topping most charts, this thing is fast and the Thermals are manageable with not too bad a TDP..was weird to get a big box that looks like overstock of when they still gave coolers as this does not have one, but makes for a indulging unboxing experience.

Very happy with this CPU. Create performance for gameplay. You cannot go wrong with this one.

Upgraded from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a this CPU and it pairs really well with my RTX 3070 Ti. Overall performance in all games went up by a fair amount and it performs well at CPU intensive workloads despite being a gaming focused CPU.

Performs better than expected.
Installation was quick and easy, MFlash required on MSI B650 Tomahawk to cater for latest Ryzen CPU.
Pairs great with the ID-Cooling SL360 Space Series 360mm. (All fittings included)

Despite being marketed as suitable for up to 5200Mhz RAM, it is running perfectly with 6000Mhz. Running cold; fast and stable both with and without overclocking

This thing is a monster, and totally worth every cent.
I would highly recommend this CPU and it really shines when paired with a X670.

Worth the extra few rands!

I recently built a new SFF Mini ITX PC using the Lian Li G99.A4H2OX4, this CPU, NZXT RL-KN240-B1 Kraken and the Gigabyte Radeon RX 7800 XT GAMING OC 16G. The AIO does very well on this CPU but on heavy duty games like cyberpunk (ultra settings, 1440p, no FSR) it does go to the high 70s Celsius, which is slightly higher than I expected. Still well within range though. No fps or performance issues experienced so far and was easy to install. Comes highly recommended for good reasons.

Very fast CPU for gaming. If your going for a workstation I might rather recommed a i5 or i7 or more core ryzens for more threads. If you want to game and that's all that matters to you then this thing is a beast.

Increased my minimum fps in Cyberpunk 2077 by 50% compared to my i7 7700k.

An absolute beast when it comes to running simulation games like stellaris and hearts of iron IV. What makes it so special unlike other chips, is the larger L3 cache you will not find in competitor cpu's. Despite running a lower base clock than most ryzen 7000 cpu's. The 7800x3d will typically outperform them in most games.

Definitely recommend it if you play cpu heavy games.

Very happy with the gaming performance from Team Red that this new processor offers. It hits the sweet spot for performance and the new AM5 platform also brings a lot to the table with new features and faster memory speeds. Highly recommended.

Upgraded from a 5900x that is going into the wifes PC to the 7800x3D. Curiosity got the better of me. You should technically not be upgrading from Zen 3 to Zen 4 especially since games that are more GPU bound won't make any difference and Zen 3 is more than capable, but I was shocked to see the difference this processor made in CPU intensive games or unoptimized games (yes looking at you Star Wars Jedi Survivor)

Games like COD MWII made little difference on my RTX 3080 at 3440x1440p. 5900x 90fps avg, vs 7800x3D 97fps avg. The difference will however but quite a bit more on something like an RTX 4090 mind you.

Where I did see an incredible difference was with Hogwarts Legacy and Jedi Survivor.
Hogwarts Legacy - 5900x 67fps avg vs 7800x3D 100fps avg.
Start Wars Jedi Survivor, RT off. 5900x 50fps avg vs 7800x3D 85fps.

It's honestly BS that games are this badly optimized latetly. Laziness from devs or publishers pushing for release targets. There shouldn't be such a difference between a 5900x and 7800x3D in my opinion. This is the kind of jump I would expect going from a RTX 3080 to RTX 4080.

Also seems I got a decent sample.
Running 6400Mhz CL30 at stock voltages. FCLK at 2167Mhz Latency on stock ram went from 74ns to 59ns with some custom timings.
