Seriously impressive cooling - Pub, 31 December 2025
Very impressed with this cooler. It’s a large, heavy dual-tower unit, but the performance more than justifies the size. Paired with a Ryzen 7 5700X, I’m seeing around 55–65 °C under sustained load, even during stress tests and long gaming sessions, with plenty of thermal headroom left.
What really stood out is how well the cooler responds to an alternative fan configuration, inspired by Kleo Yan’s benchmarking video. Instead of the standard “sandwich” setup, I mounted the two NX600 fans on the outer sides of each fin stack, both pushing air inward toward the center gap. This reduces turbulence and high-pitched fan noise while improving airflow consistency through both towers.
Case airflow setup that worked exceptionally well:
• Using a Montech AIR 100 Lite case
• Two 140 mm front intake fans
• Rear case fan set as intake to feed cool air directly to the CPU socket and VRMs
• One 120 mm top fan above the cooler as exhaust
• Optional small top-mounted intake, next to the large exhaust, to help feed fresh air toward the cooler. Had an 80mm laying around. Figured, why not.
With this layout, CPU temps are excellent, VRMs stay cool, and overall airflow remains stable with positive pressure. No thermal throttling, no sudden temp spikes, and very consistent clocks under load.
It’s a big cooler, so check case clearance, fits the Montech AIR 100 Lite case. But if you have the space, the NX600 delivers outstanding performance for the price and competes easily with much more expensive dual-tower coolers.
Highly recommended if you want strong air cooling without pushing noise or temperatures.
