Stable 2.5Gbps - Vincent, 20 October 2024
I'm using the card for a NAS with intermittent loads. Connected to a 2.5g switch with a 20cm cable. It works as expected. The Linux support is working, the Realtek chip gets detected without any issues. I know this chipset had issues for others in the past. I was worried about the 2.5g support as my Intel nic was unstable. So far no drops or freezes.

I have got fast fibre and routers / switches. Tweaked these settings to 2.5Gbs. My "big" PC gets 850Mbps on mweb speed test whereas this only gets 430 - same as when using the built-in LAN card rated for 1Gbs. "big" PC has 2.5Gbs card built-in. Wanted to beef up an older PC used for email & internet. This was disappointing.
