Logitech 981-000770 G432 7.1 DTS Multi-Platform Black & Blue Wired Gaming Headset

The general price for this headset seems to be around R1300 at various stores. I got this on special for R899.

Once i recieved it, the quality is good and the sound is decent but it doesnt feel like a R1300 headset. It feels closer to a R600-R800 headset in terms of fit and finish and materials used.

The sound quality is decent, lacking bass though for music listening.

The included logitech USB DAC is pretty average and drops the overall dB by quite a bit when compared to plugging the 3.5mm jack straight into the motherboard.

That being said, the 7.1 surround sound in games is great and hearing footsteps etc in BF2042 was very easy and helped a lot in game.

Mic quality is very good, crystal clear and the background noise suppression is perfect.

The headset cable is nice and long and also includes a splitter as well as the DAC.

Overall a good headset for the money, just doesnt feel as premium as I had expected.

Build quality is better than what was expected for a "budget" headset. It can become a bit uncomfortable after a few hours of use. Mic is great and sound is great. Logitech G Hub crashes on windows 11, just something to be aware of.
