Impressive Beastie
Great for future proofing, supports both DDR4 an DDR5. Runs a bit hot, so plan your cooler accordingly.

9600X performance with DDR4 compatibility
As a big fan of LGA1700, being able to go toe to toe with AM5 CPUs with a CPU that has both DDR4 and DDR5 support is quite fascinating. Higher TDP does require more cooling, besides this the CPU is pretty good (modern air coolers will be able to cool the ~125W draw - the CPU does sometimes spike to ~150W, but still not an issue for a decent 2 fan air cooler). Biggest gripe: CPU parking is a thing, please unpark your CPUs if you do not want to run into seemingly random under-performance

Best mid range bang for buck
I weighed this CPU against comparable AMD rivals, and it beat the closest one by about R2k and still kicked its butt performance wise without batting an eyelid. Yes, it's not the latest bleeding edge tech compared to AMD, but somehow it still manages to be competitive and quite a bit more cost effective. So... if you're looking for a bang for buck CPU this would be an absolute no-brainer in my opinion. Just make sure you're cooling is on par - no need for liquid cooling, just get a beefy air cooler like the ID-Cooling FROZN A620 dual tower setup and you'll be good to go. For programming, gaming, design work and occasional video editing this thing is more than enough. Highly recommended.

The new / old underdog
I went with Intel, due to budget constraints as well as wanting a very specific type of build. I'm happy with it so far. The CPU does run quite hot, but with the beefy air cooler I have installed it never goes above 60 degrees. I'm happy, I know most people won't go for this but gaming wise it's VERY fast.

Amazing overkills CPU for Unraid
Running this as my Unraid CPU is overkill but flippen awesome. Hardware encoding and the performance is amazing for VMs, Docker, Plex, compression etc.
