Beast of a processor

Stupendous performance
Nevermind gaming, this chip will handle anything you throw at it with ease. Most reviews focus on power consumption, and I guess if your use case demands high utilisation for hours on end then sure it's a hog. My CPU hardly ever pulls more than 180W, but I'm happy to know that the extra oomph is there if I need it.

It works, but I you must limit its power in bios else it destroys inverter batteries, have mine limited to 50w (min) 65w (max) and works well for me, CPU never goes above 40 degrees and never noticed games I have tried being affected.

Awesome cpu!
I have the Z690 Maximus Hero motherboard & had the 12900 cpu. It couldn't run my ram at rated 5600mhz in xmp. Default was 4000mhz. I upgraded to the 13900k & my ram now has a default of 4800mhz & xmp of the rated speed 5600mhz.
