Good Build and Quality - Lacking 7.1 hardware
The only good side is that this headset is made of good quality, the cups are oval shaped with super soft memory foam and faux leather, the angled drivers deliver good clear and quality sound. The Mic works as intended, always choose a detachable mic whenever I can. The only down side is that they discontinued the 7.1 surround sound support on the headset. DTS X is not a good alternative, its makes the headset sound muddy and it keeps clipping the audio. I had to use APO and custom options to get the same 7.1 quality that I had experienced with Hyper X 2 Cloud. I would suggest just going for the Cloud 2 if you don't want to sit through configuring a Sound profile. I don't recommend using the "Ngenuity" software for 7.1 surround sound. It would pair up nicely if you still have the 7.1 Surround sound dongle for the Hyper cloud 2
