Great performance for the price
Pretty comparable performance when I tested it against an older rig, that has a i7 4790k in it which still goes for 5k. Cooler works well and feels sturdy, getting good temps. Recommended for a budget build.

Great budget overclocker
I bought this cpu as a temporary placeholder for my Gigabyte B550 Aorus, anticipating AMD's new generation cpus next year. I must say, I've managed to easily overclock the 3100 to 4,2 ghz with the standard wrath stealth cooler and maintaining temps that don't exceed 78°C. Gaming performance has been excellent, but I had a noticeable difference with the overclock. Great budget overclocker!

Awesome CPU. You don't need much more for pure gaming. Capable of running most games at high settings when pared with suitable GPU. It has some overclock headroom if you want to play around with that.
